If you have over 100 kilograms or 10 square metres of asbestos waste to dispose of, the person transporting the load to the landfill must make a consignment using WasteLocate to report the waste transfer to the EPA.

There are two options displayed below. Make Consignment will display a form for you to complete. You will need to enter the following details for the person transporting the asbestos to the waste facility: Name, email, mobile number, drivers licence number and vehicle registration of the vehicle used to transport the waste. Manage Existing Consignment will display a form to access a previous consignment. You will need to enter the last name, mobile number and SMS code you used to confirm the consignment. You will see any consignments you have created. You can view, deliver and upload dockets from this page.

Steps to Make a Consignment

• Use the Add Waste button to select the option that best fits the type of asbestos you have to dispose of. Enter the approximate weight of the wrapped load.
• Enter the location the asbestos is moving from.
• Choose the Find Destination Facility button, begin typing the name of the facility and a list will appear to select from.
• Select the date you will be moving the load.
• Select the Confirm button.
• An SMS code will be sent, enter it to confirm the consignment. (Note the SMS code will be required to manage the consignment)
• You can print the consignment or show it on your mobile device at the facility.
• Once you have taken the load to the facility, please select the deliver button and upload the docket to the consignment. Access it by selecting the manage consignment button below.
